Our Story

A TRIBUTE TO GREECE, FRIENDSHIP & SECOND ACTS

It started in 2013 when Alexandra Vovolini of Economia Publishing House invited Julie Meyer to present her book, Welcome to EntrepreneurCountry in Athens in a Book Tour. Economia translated the book into Greek:  Welcome to Entrepreneur Country and Public βιβλία.

Meyer fell in love with Athens, and started to build her business, the Ariadne Capital Group Limited, in Athens as well as London, its headquarters. In 2014, she went to Mykonos for the first time, and started to realise that while beautiful, Greece offered additionally tremendous opportunities to back entrepreneurs, develop a robust financing of entrepreneurship ecosystem, and to create a Capital Markets business in the Mediterranean which E&Y refers to as the Second Largest GDP Zone after the United States.

In January 2015, the election of Alexis Tsipras caused Meyer to leave Greece as all of the developments of the Ariadne Capital Group Limited were put on hold as the Greek country’s business leaders dealt with the impact of his policies.

Meyer returned to Greece just after Kyriakos Mitsotakis was elected in mid 2019, and the country started to turn around and embrace capitalism again.

Meyer met Chris Doulke in Mykonos in August 2020, and they joined forces. Doulke and family followed Meyer to Kea, Greece in October 2020. Their first joint adventure was the FTE® KEA where 75 business leaders came to Kea to share inspiration, ideas, insights and investment opportunities.  Follow The Entrepreneur Investor Summit In Greece 2020 (globalftenetwork.com)
